I’ve sorta been hanging off finishing up blogging about my time with Widdle Shamrock.
I was waiting for her to blog some of it actually.
And I’m not sure how much to tell.
it’s not like we “did” a lot of “stuff” while she was here so there isn’t much more to tell.
Mostly we talked.
The way old friends do when they catch up.
About everything and anything.
About the stuff they couldn’t/didn’t want to say in an email.
About the stuff you don’t say on the phone.
About the stuff that normally is only implied or gets left unsaid.
About some of the dark stuff, the hard stuff, the stuff that we poke fun at or rant about so that it doesn’t drag us down into the pit that we teeter on the edge of at times.
And we laughed. Lots. And LOTS.
And we rang Jayne and talked to her and laughed with her and listened to her rolls her r’s at the mention of David ‘Ten Inch’ Tennant while googling prospective future hot hunks and emailing each other links. (Multi format conversation going on here lol). We talked and laughed till our cheeks hurt and we had tears in our eyes and when we hung up the phone it said that we’d been talking for 301 minutes and 29 seconds!
And then we talked some more.
And that’s really all there is to tell.
You think I’m joking about the talking?
Hell, we got lost in Sydney that first night we all met up cos we were talking that much we weren’t taking any notice of where we were going!
oh and WS. I’m not great at telling people how I feel about them, but I really enjoyed our time too. I think you’respecial too and I’m so glad to call you friend.

The up close and personal talking would be much more important than mere sightseeing. Geez, that can be done on the internet. Google Cananda and you’re there. Virtually anyway. A friends get together such as you all had is priceless and certainly can’t be done on the net.
There is certainly nothing quite like spending time with good friends in the flesh.
