Caught!!
Finally, the cat had caught the damn mouse!
This is Coal, my little huntress.
She must have decided that a mere mouse wasn’t beneath a rabbit catching cat at all
lol

Last week I had reason to go and visit my mother. She is after all my mother and we have a friendly (even if it’s not close) relationship.
As I’m pulling into the driveway, my nephew is intently looking at something on the ground. “Whatchya got?” says I. “A lady beetle.” says he, before whispering to me in a very worried voice that “mummy is here”. “No problem” I tells him before continuing up the driveway to pull up behind my mother’s car.
Next thing I know the stupid skank whore steps out from the verandah directly in front of me! I had to hit the anchors to stop from hitting her. She stops and stands there. She looks at me. She giggled. Yup, giggled like a 15 year old school girl waiting for her boyfriend to try to feel her up.
Stupid bint.
She goes home and the next time she’s talking to my brother tells him that I tried to run her over!
I was going a whole………. maybe 5kms/hr.
But I tried to run her over.
Does her stupidity and paranoia know no bounds?
She’s definitely competition for Anja’s reality challenged friend SFB!
Sigh.
Oh well.
Only one more month till she’s officially my ex skank-whore in law! But I wonder…………… does a skank with tyre marks really count as road kill or just add more credo to that ”well used” look?

Just wanted to give all my lovely internets a quick update on how Miss Lou is going.
She likes her school. *phew*
She seems to have made a few friends. *phew*
She had a falling out with one of those friends last week which resulted in her nearly getting hit over the head with a guitar *eeek!*
The falling out has been sorted out and now they are friends again (not sure if this is a good thing).
She emailed me around 20 times last week. In 4 days.
She has her new phone and is loving it. We bought it for her for her 14th birthday last week. She promptly started txting me at all hours of the night! *eeek again*
I shall have to explain that txts at 1 am are not a good idea unless she wants mum to die of a heart attack.
She apparently had a few meltdowns during last week. She keeps verbalising that she’s missing me and that’s the reason for everything. I think it’s not so much that the missing us has become more acute, but rather that she’s allowed to say it, so she’s letting out 4 years worth of expressing how she feels.
Her aunt and uncle have been taking her out on Friday nights to see Shakespeare, and last Friday they all went to see Billy Elliot.
She still likes her counsellor and is currently working on controlling her emotions.
She is playing her keyboard again……… and making me listen to her play over the phone lol
So far so good. ![]()

The 16 year old daughter of two of our friends was beaten up on Friday night. She and a friend were sitting out the front of the friend’s house waiting for some other friends to arrive late at night when a group of passing girls called out to her asking if they had her name right. When she replied that they did, they proceeded to accuse her of hanging shit on some of their friends.
She had no idea who these girls were let alone who or what they were talking about and told them so, she then tried to go inside the house. Three of the girls grabbed her from behind and hit her around the head till she dropped to the ground at which point they started kicking her. The other three girls held her friend to stop her from being able to interfere or get help.
The last thing she remembers is one of the girls telling another girl to stop. The next thing she knew the police were trying to talk to her.
She had a badly bleeding nose, cut lip, cuts on her face, swelling to the left hand side of her face, lumps on her head, and bruising over her back. The poor kid is now too scared to stay in her own house on her own while her mum goes to Woollies, two blocks away, to get milk and bread.
She doesn’t know the girls, but can identify them. The problem is if she presses charges, the girls will go out of their way to try to cause trouble for her or make life unpleasant. If, on the other hand she doesn’t press charges, they’ll think she’s an easy target and who knows what will happen then.
The thing that pisses me off most about it is this - it doesn’t help that if she does press charges, the girls involved will just get a slap over the wrist and probably be laughing about getting away with beating the crap out of a girl they don’t even know as they leave the courthouse.
I wish the courts would do their job and actually make people responsible for their actions instead of merely inconvenienced. Sentences should be a deterrent not a joke.

Lot and lots of smiley’s this week!
Where to start……….. where to start……………
OK, lets start with the pretty stuff!
Anja, Widdle Shamrock and I all got this -
from Sueblimely a little over a week ago, but we had to wait for the third member of our ‘coven’ to return to truly celebrate the award. The award orginated from Mark of Me and My Drum. I’d like to pass it to Veronica at Sleepless Nights because I think she really does epitomise what this particular piece of bloggy bling is about.
Next up is this lovely piece of shiny loving
came from the lovely Tiff at Three Ring Circus who constantly amazes me with her strength and tenacity. I’d like to give it to Lightening for her her lovely new Lightening’s Garden blog. If you haven’t seen it, go have a look. It is simply gorgeous, like the lady herself and I think she’s a pretty magical blogger to have so many going at once!
Next up is this
which proves that I am officially a snort worthy blogger! The every lovely Jayne from Our Great Southern Land has decided that I am one of those Convulsive Compulsive Convolvulus Conviviality Bloggers who make us snort coffee all over our monitors and almost pee our pants with laughter. I’m honoured! This HAS to be passed to Kelley from magneto bold too! who is working on getting someone to snort a steak through their nose. (yeah I know it’s already been awarded to her, but thats my pick!:P)
Lastly was this
award from Casdok over at Mother of Shrek. It’s a real compliment to be getting an award from her. If you haven’t seen her blog, I’d really encourage you to check it out. She always has interesting titbits and gobsmacking pics to share. I’d like to pass this one to Tiff at Three Ring Circus, Trish from My Little Drummer Boys, Marita from Stuff With Thing, Jayne from Our Great Southern Land, Gemisht from her brand new site My Amazing Adventure, Anja from Rat In A Cage, Nikki from Widdle Shamrock, Naomi from Nomesque Life and Erin! from Rantings from the Walking Dictionary - wonderful women all!! I consider my world a whole lot brighter from interacting with all these lovely women.
The success of our comment lurv fest at Anja’s last week astounded, astonished, amazed and amused me!! To everyone who participated, you are truly awesome!!
Miss Lou turned 14 on Thursday. My very excited girl had an awesome day of cake, treats, birthday songs, flowers, gifts, cards and phone calls. Today her grandparents took her shopping to get a brand spanking new blue and silver mountain bike. We gave her a new pink flippy mobile phone and an MP3 player. The freak tried to ring her but couldn’t get though…………serves him right for all the birthdays and Christmas’s that he left the phone off the hook so I couldn’t call her. Karma baby! It’s a bitch and it bit him hard!
My vege garden is starting to take shape. We started planting out our seedlings that we grew ourselves today. This is my man pet planting our cabbage seedlings.
This pic TJ took - you can see onions on the left, lettuce on the right and that strip up the middle that looks like it has nothing in it is where TJ and I planted our teeny tiny carrot seedlings.
And lastly my hubby’s arse (even though you can’t see it very well inder his trackies) - looking at it always makes me smile! ;)…………… and besides, I told him I was going to post a pic of it on my blog and he called me a biatch loving names for that so I took that as a challenge and I am a woman of my word!
So, if you are interested in reading other people’s Smiley Saturday moments, head on over to Lightening’s and join in the smile fest! And if you would like to bring a smile to someone else’s face why not join in Lightening’s Smiley Saturday Swap. What are you waiting for? Go sign up RIGHT NOW! ![]()

I have to go to a P & F meeting next week. Depending on how it goes I may not be very popular by the time I leave.
For the last few years I have been involved in running the Mother’s and Father’s day stalls at the school for the students to buy small gifts for their parents. These stalls are not for profit, they are simply a service that we provide to the students.
Last year, instead of having to spend hours trawling through the local $2 shops trying to find suitably priced pieces of shit junk that would make your cat want to vomit presents, we stumbled onto an opportunity to simply place an order for 400 gifts in the $2 price range to be mailed to us from a supplier and ended up with a shitload of nice goodies nice range of gifts that people would actually like.
And we had comments from teachers and parents alike about how nice the gifts were. “They are stuff you’d actually like to get instead of junk“.
However, around the time that we presented the final bill for the Father’s Day stall to the P & F for payment, we got bitched at rapped over the knuckles by a ratfink cow parent who was also a local business owner for not shopping locally.
WTF????
The stupid cow concerned parent will have us banning book club next for screwing the local bookshop out of business!
I’m all for shopping locally and trying to keep money in the local economy, and we do try to do so when practical, but if the local shops can’t provide the best value and service what the hell’s a person meant to do?
So next week we need to go to the P & F meeting and tell them that we need to order the gifts for the Mother’s Day stall. My side-kick and I have decided on a course of action , we are simply going to tell the person involved that if we aren’t allowed to use the gift service that we have found then we won’t be doing the stall and SHE can spend hours trawling around town trying to find some goodies that wouldn’t make a packrat blush decent gifts in the $2 price range and then man the stall for 2 mornings during the week leading up to the special occasions ‘cos if we have to stuff around trying to shop locally when the local shops aren’t suitable for what we want, then we ain’t doing it. And that’s that!

Fell asleep after tea I did. Could not keep my eyes open for another second and Had. To. Have. a half hour snooze.
Yesterday I helped out at the school canteen for a few hours making lunches for thirty billion people at the swimming carnival. Then I walked down to the chapel (only 2 mins - it’s in the school grounds) for a 1/2 hour of prayer group.
Today I went to bible study and caught up with some g/f’s I hadn’t seen for a while, had my final post op check up (all good and clear yay!) and did SOME of the grocery shopping.
I think part of the problem is that I ran out of iron tablets last week and thought I’d be right without them till today.
Anyhow, I have nothing on for the rest of the week now so should be all rested and energised again soon so that I can regale you with mind numbing stories and hand out some pretty bling to all my pretties.

I have had so much to smile about this week.
I’ve already blogged about a few of those things in my Sorry post and The Journey page.
The thing that has made me laugh the most this week has been the way that you, my blogging readers, and a few of the community members from the Aussie Bloggers Forum have embraced our comment luv fest over at Anja’s blog. I wasn’t quite expecting so many to so fully embrace the idea and join in so whole heartedly. Widdle Shamrock and myself have been pissing ourselves laughing at the response (and the comments we have been able to read so far).
Thank you all so much for participating. We will having presents for you all when we find out just how many people did visit her blog and leave a comment or two ………………………… or thirty.
Head on over to Lightening’s for more Smiley Saturday moments.
